Beatrice J. Elyé worked for 25 years as an earth science teacher and received international recognition for her creative teaching style. Subsequently, she was asked to develop a program for gifted and talented students. Her purpose was to provide information to capable students to encourage them to make better use of their abilities, as well as to see the joyousness of doing so. Her program clearly influenced the participants, and she decided to share her unique approach with other educators and parents through her book.
