Teresa S. Masiello, Ed.D.

Teresa Smith Masiello, Ed.D., is the assessment specialist for learning at Shenandoah University, located in Winchester, Virginia. Prior to that, she taught kindergarten through fifth grade for 24 years, which included work in gifted education, assessment, and curriculum. She also spent several years at the middle school level providing enrichment for students identified as gifted and talented.
Masiello earned a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from George Mason University, a Master’s degree in Teaching from Shenandoah University, and a doctorate in Education from Shenandoah University.
As an educational consultant, Masiello travels to various local and state school districts conducting workshops that relate to differentiating instruction for diverse populations of students. Her interests include researching gifted pedagogy with an emphasis in reading instruction.
