Activities that promote creativity, “gooder grammar” and better punctuation
Author(s): Brad Newton
Make grammar fun! This is a small, unique classroom activity book with 30 creative, improvisational activities to help kids learn grammar, punctuation, critical thinking, and problem solving. Children in grades 2-10 will enjoy the book’s approaches (similar to Mad Libs) for developing important foundational language skills. Teachers may wish to copy reproducible pages with story templates, or they can project pages onto a screen, enabling students to work either individually or in small groups. The stories have some words filled in, but the students come up with their own words to complete them. Rules specify only one word to a space, and the story must make sense.
